One of the prime benefits provided by the Waterford Area Chamber of Commerce is the opportunity to network with fellow members but it doesn’t always come natural for everyone. Especially younger professionals new to the networking arena! Understanding how to network, building confidence and proven techniques is critical for business growth. At a recommendation from one of our members, we contacted Greg Peters, the “Reluctant Networker” to speak at one of our lunch and learn gatherings. Wow! Not only did Greg provide the attendees with a number of systems to improve their results, he also dealt with networking topics that most people leave out, such as how to perform follow-up and how to ask for referrals. We heard several comments on how he had opened their eyes to a new way of networking and many of the attendees were already talking about using the tools at the next business gathering. If you would like to bring up the level of networking at your group, have them listen to what Greg has to offer.
